Cognera’s Energized Volunteers Committee, created in 2010, is responsible for planning and organizing employee volunteer activities. We take special interest in activities or causes with which our employees are involved. Cognera’s employees have raised money for breast cancer, prostate cancer, Kids’ Cancer Care, Formula 4 Hope, and heart and stroke awareness, as Cognera employees and/or their families have been affected by these issues. Cognera proudly sponsors two guide dogs through Alberta Guide Dog Services—Panther and Griffin. In 2010, Cognera volunteered with the Mustard Seed, and the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank.
In 2012… Cognera has made the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary our charity of choice once again. Community Kitchen has several programs that are focused on “working with communities to help people learn to feed themselves in an economical, nutritious & sustainable manner…..” For more information, check out their website at: www.communitykitchenprogram.com.

What people are saying……
“The Cognera group that came in to volunteer with us was one of the most engaging and energetic groups I have ever worked with. I am so excited to have them in again. They worked quickly and efficiently and I barely had to give them direction. I had so much fun working with them. Truly brilliant! Please come back again!”
- Chantal Deschelles (Volunteer Coordinator, Community Kitchen Program of Calgary)
“It’s an absolute pleasure to be part of an organization that truly cares about giving back to local charities that need it.”
- Cam Mahbubian (Manager, Software Development – Core Business)
